An interesting set of interviews. As an experiment we set up a Facebook page updating the progress on our 14 construction sites here at Red Planet Hotels (http://www.facebook.com/redplanethotels). We post two to three picture updates a week and this has been very well received and is used regularly by our investors. In addition our franchisor appreciates these regular updates, as they can see what is happening in our business. We now also have members of the travel trade and general public posting questions concerning opening dates etc. We have only had the page up a few months, and more and more people are joining our page each week. Certainly the social media has a very significant role in sales and marketing to consumers. We are currently looking at ways in which we can connect hotel residents together, as they check-in through social networking.
