About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager and serving as a key member of the Executive Committee, the Director of Operations will oversee the hotel’s day-to-day operations, with responsibility for service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, team engagement and profitability.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the hotel’s operational departments, ensuring consistently high service standards.
- Drive guest satisfaction, quality performance and compliance with brand standards.
- Coach and develop department heads and operational teams, fostering a strong performance culture.
- Monitor departmental budgets, costs and operational KPIs to maximise profitability.
- Oversee operational projects, capital investments and property improvement initiatives.
- Analyse financial and operational performance and work closely with the General Manager on strategic priorities.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all operational areas.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 10+ years of hotel experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management capacity.
- Previous Executive Committee experience, ideally within a large, upscale or international hotel.
- Strong Rooms Division expertise combined with a solid understanding of Food & Beverage operations.
- Excellent leadership, commercial and financial acumen.
- Strong analytical, organisational and decision-making skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Resilience, accountability and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent English and Spanish are essential, as well as the right to work in Spain.
