An exciting opportunity for an ambitious Director of Sales to take the lead on MICE sales for a prestigious collection of luxury hotels, resorts and spas across Italy.

Based in either Milan, Florence, Rome or Sardinia this senior role will drive proactive sales activity across a diverse portfolio of high-end properties, with a clear focus on growing revenue, developing new markets and maximising existing business opportunities.

Working closely with corporate sales, property-based sales teams, marketing, reservations and revenue, you will play a key role in strengthening the group's market position and delivering ambitious commercial results.

The Role

You will lead the sales strategy for the MICE and leisure segments, developing and implementing annual sales plans, managing key accounts and identifying new business opportunities across both established and emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop the sales team, creating a high-performance and collaborative environment.
  • Develop and execute proactive sales strategies across the MICE and leisure segments.
  • Grow and strengthen key accounts while identifying and converting new business opportunities.
  • Represent the portfolio at key sales calls, workshops, trade shows and industry events.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers across target markets.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and increased market share.
  • Drive sales activity, account development and follow-up to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Work closely with reservations, marketing and revenue teams to maximise conversion and commercial performance.
  • Use CRM and sales reporting effectively to track activity, analyse results and provide market insight.
  • Develop strategies to maximise demand during shoulder and low seasons.

About You

We are looking for an experienced hospitality sales leader with a strong track record in MICE sales and the drive to deliver incremental growth.

You will ideally bring:

  • At least 3 years' experience with an international hospitality brand.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in proactive leisure and MICE sales.
  • At least 5 years' experience managing a hospitality sales team.
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding commercial targets.
  • Strong account management, business development and networking skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and computer skills.
  • The ability to lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • A proactive, commercially minded and results-focused approach.
  • Fluent Italian and English – essential.
  • French or German language skills would be advantageous.
  • Candidates mist be eligible to work in the EU as sponsorship is not provided.
