An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Group Director of Sales & Marketing to join a prestigious luxury hospitality portfolio in Italy.

This is a career-defining role for an ambitious commercial executive looking to shape the future of an expanding collection of premium hotels and resorts. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead the sales, marketing, digital, PR and commercial strategy across a portfolio of luxury properties, helping to deliver ambitious growth plans while elevating brand positioning in key international markets.

The Opportunity

This is a highly strategic leadership position with responsibility for the overall commercial performance of a growing hospitality portfolio.

You'll oversee a talented multi-disciplinary team across Sales, Marketing, PR, Digital and Business Development, working collaboratively with General Managers and senior stakeholders to develop innovative commercial strategies that maximise revenue, strengthen market share and enhance brand awareness.

With significant autonomy and influence, you'll play a central role in shaping the future direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

As Group Director of Sales & Marketing, you will:

  • Develop and execute the overall commercial strategy across multiple luxury hotels and resorts.
  • Lead Sales, Marketing, Digital, PR and Social Media functions to deliver ambitious revenue objectives.
  • Partner with General Managers and Revenue leaders to ensure all commercial initiatives are fully aligned.
  • Drive international sales strategies across key leisure, MICE and luxury travel markets.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with strategic partners, luxury travel advisors, key accounts and industry stakeholders.
  • Oversee annual budgets, forecasts and commercial KPIs, ensuring consistent delivery against business objectives.
  • Lead international sales missions, trade shows and industry events to expand market presence.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities through market analysis, innovation and strategic partnerships.
  • Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing commercial team across multiple locations.
  • Produce executive-level reports and performance dashboards to support strategic decision-making.

About You

We're looking for an inspiring commercial leader with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results within luxury hospitality.

You'll bring:

  • Extensive senior Sales & Marketing leadership experience within luxury hotels, resorts or hospitality groups.
  • Experience overseeing multiple properties or regional commercial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of international leisure, MICE and luxury travel markets.
  • Expertise in strategic sales planning, digital marketing, PR and brand development.
  • A commercial mindset supported by excellent analytical and financial skills.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English, with additional languages considered advantageous.
  • The ability to travel regularly throughout Italy and internationally.
  • Must be eligible to work in the the EU as sponsorship will not be included.

Experience working with luxury travel consortia, strategic partnerships and international distribution channels will be highly desirable.
