A world-class luxury resort in Venice is seeking an exceptional Director of Marketing to lead and execute its commercial marketing strategy across one of Europe’s most distinctive hospitality destinations.

The Opportunity
Reporting into senior leadership, the Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives that drive revenue growth, guest engagement, brand positioning, and commercial performance.
The successful candidate will lead a high-performing marketing function, collaborate cross-functionally with sales and operations teams, and deliver measurable business results through data-driven marketing strategies and innovative campaigns.
This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership capabilities, commercial acumen, and experience operating within luxury hospitality, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands.
Key Responsibilities
The Director of Marketing will lead the development and execution of the resort’s overall marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with broader commercial objectives and revenue goals. Working closely with sales and operational leadership, the successful candidate will drive brand visibility, guest acquisition, and performance across multiple channels through innovative campaigns, strategic partnerships, and data-driven decision-making. The role will involve monitoring marketing effectiveness, analysing market trends and competitor activity, managing budgets and forecasts, and identifying opportunities to optimise performance and enhance guest engagement.
In addition, the Director of Marketing will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This includes coaching and mentoring team members, overseeing recruitment and performance management, and implementing incentive programmes that drive productivity and engagement. The role also requires maintaining strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors, while ensuring brand consistency and exceptional guest experiences across all touchpoints.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
7–10+ years’ experience in senior marketing leadership roles Background in luxury hospitality, lifestyle, FMCG, or premium consumer sectors Proven success delivering commercially driven marketing strategies Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Creative vision with a strong understanding of brand storytelling and guest engagement Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach Fluency in both English and Italian. Candidates must be eligible to work in Europe.
